Route Helper - Recycling - Boise

Our client is looking for dependable, hardworking Route Helpers to assist drivers with residential recycling collection for the leaf season. This is an active, outdoor position and a great opportunity to earn overtime while working as part of a route team. On-the-job training provided!

PAY/SCHEDULE: $20.00/hour. Monday – Friday, 6:00 am until route completion (may be as late as 6:30 pm). Overtime available! Long-term temporary assignment.

What you’ll do:

• Assist the driver with prompt, courteous, and complete recycling/debris removal on designated residential routes

• Ride on the truck and safely assist the driver throughout assigned routes

• Load leaf bags, poly carts, carry bags, recycling, and waste containers into the truck

• Operate levers and handles used to activate lift and loading mechanisms

• Frequently climb on and off the truck to lift, carry, and load recycling bags and containers

• Assist with cleanup around the hauling station yard and keep areas clear for route drivers

• Perform other related duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain physically active throughout the shift

• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds

• Ability to safely climb on and off the truck throughout the workday

• Dependable and able to work potentially long days as routes require

• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment

• Drug-free
