Cylinder Maintenance Technician - Boise

Personnel Plus, Inc. Boise is hiring a Cylinder Maintenance Technician in Boise, Idaho

Our client, a gas plant filling company, is looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Cylinder Maintenance Technician to help keep compressed gas cylinders in safe working condition.

Pay and schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM * Overtime required

• Starting at $18.00 per hour

What you'll do:

• Inspect compressed gas cylinders for dents, corrosion, leaks, damaged valves, and other defects

• Remove, replace, and torque cylinder valves using proper tools and procedures

• Clean, prep, paint, and re-label cylinders as needed

• Prepare cylinders for hydrostatic testing, requalification, or maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools

• Ability to accurately enter data into computer systems

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records

• Perform basic mathematical calculations

• Ability to lift, move, and handle cylinders weighing 50+ lbs.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Basic knowledge of compressed gas cylinders is helpful but not required—we will train the right candidate

• Ability to pass a background check

• Drug-free workplace
