General Laborer – Seed Treatment Facility

Personnel Plus Inc., Is now hiring for hardworking and dependable General Laborer to assist with various duties around the facility yard and seed treatment operations. This position involves physical labor, including lifting heavy materials, cleaning equipment and tanks with chemical solutions, and assisting with seed treatment processes. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working outdoors and in changing weather conditions while following strict safety procedures.

Schedule

Monday–Friday with some Saturdays as needed
Shifts may vary between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (up to 12-hour shifts)

 Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain the facility yard, equipment, and surrounding work areas
Lift and move sacks or materials weighing up to 80 lbs
Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, cleanup, and assisting team members
Clean tanks and equipment using approved chemical solutions
Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist with facility operations as needed

Seed Treatment Duties

Seed Treatment Application: Operate, calibrate, and maintain seed treatment equipment to apply chemical or biological products
Mixing & Preparation: Accurately mix seed treatment chemicals, fertilizers, or soil amendments according to specific formulas
Quality Control: Inspect seeds to ensure proper coverage, size consistency, and treatment quality
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, properly handle chemicals, and manage chemical waste according to regulations
Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

Must own and wear steel-toe boots
Able to lift 80 lbs. or more regularly
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
Willing to work Monday through Saturday when needed
Able to work long shifts (up to 12 hours)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
