Job Description:

The Administrative Clerk/Receptionist will perform a variety of customer service, administrative, and secretarial tasks to support District operations and programs.


Answers multi-line telephone system, providing information and transferring callers to appropriate persons; directing complex or technical inquires to the proper office
Greets and directs visitors and guests, providing information and responses to inquires concerning services, programs, work performed, and District activities
Maintains the clean, professional appearance of our reception area
Composes and types memos and correspondence, sorts and prepares mailings for agency programs
Provides outstanding administrative support for the District on various projects
Sort, distribute and manage incoming and outgoing mail for multiple locations and staff
Other administrative support tasks as assigned

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software, multi-line phone systems, scanners, and other general office equipment
Ability to accurately complete forms, organize and copy materials, type labels, envelopes, and prepare mailings
Be attentive to detail and able to meet deadlines
Display outstanding customer service skills
Use professional, friendly telephone etiquette
Produce effective business communications using the rules of the English language
Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment
Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism
Ability and willingness to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a local highway district located in Garden City, ID. The work schedule is Monday- Friday from 7 am- 4:30 pm. $13-$14, DOE.
