    Excellent opportunity working for a City Museum
    P/T schedule, working Monday- Friday, during the hours of 10 am – 4 pm
    $20.09 p/h

Duties:

    Under the direction of the Director, Manages outreach programs on-site and out in the community
    Creates and implements an on-going school program to bring Eagle history into school classrooms tailored to the curriculum and standards students are using in their classrooms
    Develop working relationships with area grade-school instructors
    Manages all field trip programs to the museum, including development of promotional materials and maintaining supplies
    Works with other City departments to create classes or workshops for the City
    Creates and implements public programs or special events; including but not limited to workshops, lectures, tours, educational booths
    Responsible for all Museum Department social media content in conjunction with the Public Information Officer; including creating and distributing a newsletter
    Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures, and safety practices
    Seek and write grants if grant monies are required
    Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

    Coursework in Museum Studies, History, Art History, Education, or any other related field
    Two (2) years minimum experience in Education, Museum, or related field, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that has provided knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job functions listed satisfactorily
    Demonstrate outstanding communication skills with the public, understanding the potential for reputational and customer service implications
    Ability to work independently to create original, age-appropriate content and programming
    Ability to present information in a group setting in an interactive manner
    Demonstrated skills using oral and written communication in the performance of duties, including internal and public presentations
    Ability to operate office equipment and computer programs
    Specific skill in the use of MS Office Suite, particularly: Word, Outlook, and Excel
    Strong attention to detail
    Ability to apply tact and good judgment
    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, officials, and co-workers
    Ability to perform work duties in the field for frequent site visits
    Valid Driver’s License
    Must be available for occasional Saturday and Special events

Preferred:

    Working knowledge of Idaho or Eagle history.
    Working knowledge of AAM/AASLH standards and best practices.
    Working knowledge of museum management software.
    Associate Degree in Museum Studies, Art History, History, Education, or a related field highly desired
